Regarding the 1993 BMW m3 e36 GTR's?

Hi!

Just sat here thinking about the e36 gtr's bmw produced in 1993. Saw the cecotto car at the BMW museum a couple of years ago, but I have never seen the Kris Nissen car nor heard what happend to it after the adac gt season in 93'.

Does anyone know where the car went?

Regards
Daniel

Apparently the E36 GTR was 'sort of' produced in a roadgoing version- if you can describe what sounds like pretty much the race version fitted with a set of licence plates as being a road car...Anyway there only seem to have been a pair of these 'road' GTRs built

What is an E36 M3 GTR?
The E36 M3 GTR is the road-going version of the competition machine built to compete in the 1994 ADAC German GT Cup Touring Car series. Essentially a race car with license plates, it features a stripped out interior and lightweight body panels (dropping the curb weight to 1300kg), fender flares to accommodate the 18-inch wheels and tires, adjustable front and rear spoilers, a full roll cage and a 300-hp version of the S50 B30 engine. Only two street-legal examples were built.

Hi!

Guess this answers my own and your questions.

"BMW Motorsports only built 4 E36 GTR's, 3 race cars (Cecotto's Warsteiner car and Nissen's Daloon car built for the 1993 ADAC GT series, and another Warsteiner car built for Endurance races which did the Spa 24hrs and Interlagos 1000km) and one street car (built to homologate the E36 GTR for the ADAC GT series) which was "bought" by a member of the Quandt family (who own BMW). All 4 cars are still owned by BMW and are in the Mobile Tradition Collection."

Then there was the Sandro Chia artcar, http://motoringconbrio.com/2011/05/3...y-sandro-chia/ guess that makes it 5 ever built...
