Usually 18 but there are jobs that you can do from 16. Am sure some of the more experienced guys will tell you more.

I have just returned from Lydden Hill, where the 750 Motor Club put on an excellent meeting. My 8 year old son was allowed to "work" as a runner between race control and the race office. I had to fill out a permission form and he then was allowed to sign on properly. I am faced with the question "can I go on post with you dad?" on an hourly basis whilst at circuits. He knows that he can't be anywhere near the circuit or pits etc until he is at least 16. The strange thing is he can become a rider of a standard 125cc motorcycle at the age of 11!!
It is all to do with insurance and Health and Safety. Still if he stays keen there is no doubt he will be on the bank as soon as he is allowed. |
