Your not putting Checo forward as well then? Seriously though it will be sad for Romain because he's a nice kid and he's monster quick but you can just see it in his eyes when he's on camera... last year all bright eyed and bushy tailed, not he has this haunted, lights out kinda look. That can't be good for an F1 driver? If they put Valsecchi in, they'll ave him for breakfast, no chance of a sensible performance. Kobayashi would be almost as much of a liability as Grosjean in as far as carnage potential goes! Heikki would be a solid if unspectacular pair of hands but the guy i'd go for is Glock Dog. He's be pumped, quick and dependable. Here's one from leftfield: Mark Webber. He leaves RBR early in time for next year, if Enstone's still on the grid that is, and his fav engineer's already there I think? This then gives Marko the chance to try out the Aussie joker and Jean Eric Cevert for the rest of the season and give the 2014 seat to whoever comes out on top. |

I hope he finds what he needs in himself and gets back to being fast and consistant. He has shown in a few races this year he is clever in traffic and can race cleanly. Its almost as though when he isnt in the top 6 or so he loses his concentration as all his dramas are when he is racing back in the pack |

Looks like Grosjean will be driving in Canada his boss has backed him in the short term anyway by giving him time to sort himself out.

Just looking at the accident again, does anyone else think he might have a future in drag racing?

They aren't going to get a replacement for Grosjean with the right experience/speed on such short notice. He might have a race or three left but that chap is ultimately for the chop.

No one's going to fire Grosjean any time soon. Maldonado's done a lot worse and he's still around at Williams.

How many chances can an F1 driver have to sort himself out? All season he has been driving sheepishly to stay out of trouble. He is at the point of damned if he does damned if he doesn't.

Grosjean is responsible for much of budget at Lotus - only with him he's responsible for the expenditure, rather than the income. |
