I've got mine, but disappointingly I've had to send apologies. Looks like a really good meeting, too.

As I'm one or the other, I choose both

Bill is coming along to this, so do look after him for me.

Another one I will leave to him to do, especially as the forecast is "wet and cold", I think a nice hot bath on Saturday morning is on the horizon!!!

Seriously, I have discovered that if I do "too" much (eg a long day at Oulton even if not working), then I pay for it a day or two later.

Not just you dear even us old "lazy g*ts in the pit-lane " feel the pain 2 days later. Must be all the walking we do.

Walking? At my age??

Alas, in my case it is not being able to eat (nausea), fatigue (OK, I'll give you that one), Kleenex/Andrex time and being grouchy (I might give you that one too).

Some might say this is me on a good day, but they'd better not!

To quote that Irish Lady (from Father Ted) they used in the ads for my previous employer:

Aahh, go on, go on, go on!

(I hope I got the quote right.)

I hope you all have a great day on Saturday. This is the only MGCC meeting of the year that I can't get to - a prior commitment organising the produce and craft show at the village fete! Stay safe.

It'll be the only MGCC meeting I've managed this year (unless something else goes wrong). I'm looking forward to waving my flags at a few old mates out on the track .

Also have had to apologise, my services required elsewhere, dodging errant rally cars this time on New Brighton prom

Have sent in apologies to Paul and also returned the tickets
See you all the week after

Well, I got up early doors to make Bill's flask and see him off - so some credit to me. Have spoken to HMRC about my tax refund, had breakfast and now, at about 9am and thinking about that hot soak in the bath. Ain't this marshalling fun!

The weather here is glorious - sunshine and blue skies. I hope it is the same at Oulton for you all. Never trust the forecast!

had a fantastic day with the team on Warwick Bridge,
some great racing too,
felt like I've never had a 3 month break, marshalling seems to be second nature now

We had a fairly busy day at Shell, not exactly unusual I'm told. The organisation went a bit awry with no flaggie or flags or safety car board ever turning up for Shell Out so I had to nip over from In, wander off to fetch my flags from the car and hope that one post not showing an SC wasn't too confusing for the drivers. It all adds interest to a day though .

A good well run meeting overall with some excellent racing although the race with only 4 cars was not exactly a highlight. And the weather was actually better than forecast....how often do you get to say that ?

Any news on the driver who was extricated at Shell? Assume he was Ok.

From the last few posts looks like it was a good day, my jinx seems to be following me, even in the rally world, on one stage we had 3 cars parked with us, including a fiesta following an engine fire (dealt with very efficently with a short powder extinguisher spray by yours truly)

Hopefully this coming weekend will change it, but Caterhanms and Mazdas i wonder

I understand he was released from hospital later the same day and returned to thank the medical staff at OP - shame the message was not passed on to the orange troops. But alright in the end
