Could Mr Raikonnen be in the running for the lead STR seat?

Mr Lauda says that Ferrari should hire Raikkonen. Of course he is.

I think that this is ridiculous. Great as Kimi has been since he returned, the only other driver in history that I can recall returning to a team that he had left under a cloud was Mansell and only because Bernie and Renault made it practically impossible for Nige to turn down!
Ferrari is losing the plot management wise again, They are starting to look like headless chickens. You do not need to re-sign a driver you forcibly removed because he wasn't deemed good enough, when you have Alonso already. The only way this will work is if it's an Irvine type of deal. As in, Kimi goes there in full knowledge that he is number 2 and gets paid handsomely for it. Will Kimi accept that though. The other side of the coin of course, is that is Kimi being signed in the full knowledge that Alonso is leaving and is actually replacing him, not joining him? |
