Muscle Car Masters 2013
Hi all, looks like they've outdone themselves again with a brilliant programme for the weekend including the Bathurst Grid Spectacular. I hope to see some of you there.
Cheers David |

Not sure if I can make it this year. But Bathurst aside it's the best event of the year.

Looking forward to the Nb battle of Bergan vs Trengrove vs Fleming. Last year the Cortina had to pack up early so it was just Cooper S against Mustang. By far the highlight on the Saturday.
There is a program on the Roaring season (very blurry though) http://www.theroaringseason.com/show...s-and-Prog-fyi (All the best too David T) |

Only a couple of "heritage touring cars" that I think were first time visitors for the MCM.
I dont recall Dr Bob having this out there before: A new Sierra to the country I would think Gazelle is finally out racing after being for sales what seemed like 5+ years. Running well too. I dont recall seeing this in previous years |

I'm knackered! The last race was from 30th to 6th in 6 rather busy laps, God I love the extended circuit! I got time today to take a walk up to the spectator area up the main straight towards the last turn. We found a spot to stand and watch a race under the shade of a tree, lovely spot. The viewing was fantastic. Being able to see turn one, exit of 3 round to 5 then down the new section to the left hand hair pin at the bottom and back up from there right the way round to turn one again. Whack in a grandstand or a large mound and it would be the best viewing at any race track I've been to for a long time.

TT
Someone was saying they had to limit the number of cars on the dummy grid...due to the large number of personnel in attendance for just one car...
How come you're in the passenger seat Dave?? Last edited by 275 GTB-4; 5 Sep 2013 at 00:12. |

There's a great video taken from Craig Allan's Torana XU-1 in race 2 at Muscle Car Masters, spending the whole race fending off Wayne Rogerson's RX-2 Coupe.
There's some great "tail out" action at Turn 15 at 4min 20sec, 6min 35sec and 11min 10sec as Wayne tries every which way to get past the Torana. Great racing with two very different cars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIrcGrbROwY |

God seeing all those old cars makes me wet.
Can't decide if the XU1, Porker or the GrpA M3 do it better for me. |
