Would not mind if they finished in top 5 and after Sandown that's possible.

And well done to them, was great to see Lee in a happier mood than he has been. Lets just say I have renewed enthusiasm for watching Jnr at work come Bathurst |

I dare say the dropkicks at the bottom of the hill will cause more trouble post-race, than those up top on Saturday night.

Yeah, you don't see the mob up top pinching the pit equipment.

in my defense , too old , too slow and too sober to even try and make an effort to hurry down to participate in the celebrations. I watch from my back row grand stand seat and hurl friendly banter at the "great unwashed" as they walk past the back of the grandstand One year we took a rookie who managed to gain a pit sign of a privateer driver (ie someone not remotely famous). some random offered him $30 for it, which he kindly put over the bar that night Did i mention i (and many others) will be there in two weeks in defense of those at the bottom of the mountain. I have always found it amazing how the crowd swells in the final few laps. surely some from the top are catching the free bus down to the bottom of the mountain to knock of signs |

Back when there were more than 29 signs up for grabs, you could come back in November or December and still find a few left

Reminds me of watching the Abc documentary on V8 Supercars in the late 90s and the teams scurrying to pull all their equipment into the garages and pull the doors down as pitlane was engulfed at the end of the race.
