Finally got around to watching the replay on FS1 last night. OVerall, was a decent race.Congrats to Wayne Taylor Racing and Scuderia Corsa on their championships.

Generally, Rolex series races were pretty entertaining although the two I saw in person (Daytona & Road Atlanta) were somewhat dull. Looking forward to see a lot of these teams in the new series next year and seeing how GTD develops.

I thought the crowd was quite healthy but it was only my 2nd time ever to Lime Rock for a Grand-Am race. I can't compare to the ALMS crowd size. The weather was just about perfect which certainly helped.

Everyone always talks about the crowds being so big at Lime Rock, but might it just have to do with the fact that Lime Rock is MUCH smaller than most tracks the series' race at. Maybe it just appears so packed because you have a smaller area from which people can view from...

This.

Packed into a track like Lime Rock, the 25,000 or so fans (UPDATE: COTA has since revised the number upward to 33,591 - Ed.) who attended COTA last weekend would make the Connecticut bullring look absolutely packed, but spread across all 20 turns and 3.4 miles in Austin, the visuals gave a disappointing return.

The Continental Tire race looked cool on TV. The GS class fight went down to last lap. Why did they split the ST and GS class at Lime Rock?

By the way, does any Continental Tire ST team plan to run Subaru BRZs next year? I would be cool to see a BRZ vs MX-5 vs Civic vs BMW battle.

Track size and total entries. Combined they would have had 51 cars on the track.

Alex Job (Audi), Turner (BMW), Magnus (Porsche), Marsh (Corvette), and two Ferrari teams also won Rolex GT races this year.
