Yes, but most people on other forums seem to hate them. (Not my personal opinion)

For some crazy unexplained reason, I also prefer the first winged 405s (re: Hobson's picture) over the 406s.

It was a very nice car indeed, 405's look really good when tarted up! I think it was also one of Pug's nicer paint jobs in the BTCC. (considering some of the early 90's ones)

http://freespace.virgin.net/tjl.thegrove/btcc9803.jpg The 99 Renault looks really good.
The 98 Vectra in particular is good though I like all the Cav except the 93 Cavelier. The old Pug 405s looked great and the 406 coupe of 2001 looked fantastic. I really like the Astra Coupes of Barwell, VMsport and 2001 Egg which looks great against the sun. Honda Civics also look nice and the EX260 looks great as well. What I lkie about the EX260 is that it had the same hape of air intake on the bumper as the road car rather than the EX259. |

You say the 1999 Renault is good, but you've posted a picture of the 1998 Renualt! But I think both look OK. |

May I include non-BTCC cars. Yes? Well thank you very much, then my favourites touring cars are the Rothmans Audi A4 and any Fina/Bastos livered BMW of the Spa 24 hours.

98/99 Volvo S40 followed by any Super Touring BMW 320. Two class cars. The drivers weren't bad either!

If you'll allow me to go slightly away from BTCC (but still a British Touring Car) this has got to be the most gorgeous ever - the Gp5 Alan Mann Escort. (Droooooooool!!!!!!!!!!)

Rutle, what about the Alan Mann Cortinas? Red with a gold stripe as raced by Sir John Whitmore?

Actually while we're going back in time, a couple more favourites- the TWR Jag XJS in the ETCC in the 80s, and the Rover SD1 Vitesse- they're how I discovered touring car racing.... |
