GHOGH should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Targa NZ 2013

As there is no WRC round in NZ, the Targa is now NZ's largest public road stage event (even if it does finish with Taupo circuit stage).
It is likely the event will conclude with another Quinn bottle shower.

Ever heard of the NZ Silver Fern Rally, sure it is only every 2nd year but it has close on twice the Special Stage Km of the Targa and it draws more International competitors than Rally NZ of recent times.

Gotta love Targa

I have worked on many of the targa stages in the Taranaki back blocks to get them ready for the racing, and even in the ol' work ute you can have a hell of a lot of fun on those roads (obeying the 100km/h speed limit of course!)

Goat Boy has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Boothy took someone's Maser for a bit of a cross-country run a year or two back...

Nice sounding car! Too bad about the end result.

The Eco Light Motorsport facebook page has a good compilation video of Inky's Targa moments.

With about 250 cars in its heyday, now down to 80 with virtually no classics, it isn't the event it used to be. Good luck to those involved as it is still a fantastic event, but it is no longer a must see for me.

With the VCC Chelsea Hill Climb and a TACCOC race meeting at Hampton Downs, both on Sunday, I'm not yet sure where I'll be. Maybe call at both?
