apri's race tracks.

(credit to TheNotSoHidden for google maps idea)
please only constructive critisism :P
my race courses WILL be terrible, but with some help, they COULD turn out just fine .

my first race course being Gatwick Airport Raceway
http://goo.gl/maps/llgex
(going clockwise) The first corner is a very sharp right turn, followed by a light right turn. After getting some speed up is a left hairpin (Could someone confirm it as a hairpin? i'm not sure :P), followed by another straight. Then comes a right turn followed by a small straight and a left turn, going on a straight, leading to a right corner. (I know, I'm not very descriptive.) Next is a left-right chicane which leads onto another right turn. Then comes a left-right S-bend which leads onto another left turn, then a lighter right turn. After a long straight comes a left-right-left complex around a roundabout. Then comes the second longest straight, following a right-straight-right-straight-left part, following with a left, then another left part. After another right turn, and then a lighter right corner and an even sharper one afterwards comes the last hairpin to the main straight and the finish line.

Boy,no kidding when you said you're not very descriptive.

On the other hand,it's.....not bad for a first track. The short track looks interesting, and I do like the esses on the back straight. However, there is a lot of work to be done. First,I'd remove that tight turn/esses/chicane bit after turn 4 and instead create a straight. Also, that little chicane at the top of the circuit could be straightened into a kink or just a two-turn chicane.

Finally....that pit lane...should someone be sent for a drive through, one can lose a lap .Here's a tip,on a runway, don't be afraid to have the pitlane on the same runway. Just one look at an airport track, like Edmonton or St. Petersburg, and the runway is as wide as the Atlantic Ocean(not literally,of course). So place your pitlane on one side and the track on another.

Good effort on your first try,as I said earlier, but could use some work here and there.

OK, I've fixed the bit after turn 4 and the pit lane, but I don't know what a kink is. And I don't know what you mean by making it a two turn chicane.

Some of the roads used would be too narrow for car racing, but good for karting if youa dd some chicanes and tight turns.
What needs to be fixed though is how you get down from the parking lot to SW Coast Path (or up depending on the race direction), there is an at least 1 storey difference

It would be a cracking WRC rally section but for actual racing... not even close. Sorry, you're just going to have to find wider roads (and not jump off parking lots!).

A kink is what you would call a light right turn or a light left turn.

A two turn chicane is either of a right and a left turn or a left and a right turn in succession.

My first non-street course. I just used Google Maps, because I suck at using Paint. So the size won't be accurate.

Try downloading Google Earth, that has a path and a straight line tool that is a great way to estimate a circuit size within an area.

The thing is is that I do have Google Earth, but I don't use it. If you mean to put screenshots on here, I don't know how to use HTML and my computer's hard drive is really low.
