As well as the information on the Dallara's, I have also found some information on the Cadillac Northstar LMP's that race at Le Mans and in the ALMS in early 2000's.

This information is actually from the Wikipedia article I wrote on the Cadillac Northstar LMP. The information was merely gathered from looking over race results so I am not 100% positive that it is correct.
The history of #LMP-00-001 is completely unknown to me, the notion that it is a development prototype is a bit of an assumption by me. All I know is that it doesn't seem to have ever raced. |

Hello, I'm Jim Craik, this is my first post on this fourm.....let me know if I get this wrong.
I can add a some data to a few of these chassis, as I understand.... LMP-00-001 was used as a crash test chassis and then a show car, it was never raced. LMP-00-004 has recently finished a complete re-build in So Cal. An although LMP-00-002 is shown as destroyed at Le Mans in 2000, that is not exactly true. It suffered some heat damage to the lower left rear of the tub, per Reily Engineering, the aluminum core is not damaged and the exterior in this area can be re-skinned. This is LMP-00-002, I took this photo today. Last edited by Jim Craik; 1 Mar 2014 at 20:03. |
