Karts for Sale

Ok.. Thank you for your input.. I'm in..

Now the next problem is going to be tracking down a viable kart. I've found one.. and I'm viewing it next week.. but I'd like a bit of choice...

If anyone reading this knows of a complete CR250 powered Long Circuit Kart feel free to PM me.. I'm on a strict budget.. but have cash and I'm ready to go..

Can I strongly recommend you get added to the British Superkart facebook page and/or register at the forum (http://superkart.forumcircle.com/portal.php?) as you can get any help and advice about Superkarting from people in the know.

What previous karting experience do you have?

As for test days, I will just add that we will probably have a couple extra days on the Friday before a race weekend, like at Oulton, Silverstone and Bishopscourt.

Feel free to add me on fb and ask for any advice. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=743316246

Some of the karts I've been looking at make a reference to something along the lines if 'new side bumper rules'... can someone shed some light?

Probably deserving of another thread, but I will split it if it gets confusing - anyway all this talk of gearbox's made me remember I had an old Wright gearbox chassis from the early 2000's in my lean to round the back of the house. It was a pal's that got a whack up the back but could have been straightened but he lost interest and sold the engine then let me have the roller for beans a few years back. Obviously would need a brake overhaul, but does anyone know of a cheap motorbike engine (pref 4 stroke) that would go on and be fun for practice days - no intention of racing. Not talking about silly big 750/1000cc engines here, although equally not talking about Loncin pit bike motors, cos Ive already got a few of them!

Few random and poor pics of it:

Superkarts - Kart or Car helmet?

Afternoon all,

Wondering if you could help me. What helmets are mandated in Superkart racing? Is it circuit dependant?

Cheers

So no difference between car and Kart or Superkart and any other kart. (Leaving aside the under 15 extras.) In addidtion to helmets recognised for car, there are some recognised for kart only but again, no distinction between superkart and any others.

I've just picked myself a new helmet and thought it was just easier to pick up a Snell SA2010 as it qualifies for everything

As the rules say either are acceptable.

I'm not too familiar with 125 engines but I'd go over to the British superkart forum and somebody will be able to help you out there

http://www.superkart.org.uk/

I would of thought a local motorcycle shop would be able to source some Honda parts you need?
