Gerard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
According to Autorace.com, Australian driver Mark Webber moved one step closer to fulfilling his F1 ambitions when he signed a new sponsorship deal with Computershare, a Canadian technology firm.

It is speculated that Webber is the strong favourite to be signed as official test driver by the Benetton team for the 2001 season, but he admitted that a cash shortage has always been a stumbling block in his F1 ambitions.
'It's very, very difficult for me to find the funding which would enables me to compete overseas'.

I hope he gets something better than a testing slot. He was awesome in Le Mans as long as he got to drive, (that was the first time I became aware of him) and he is a very nice boy who will add a lot to the mix.

he has also announced that he will not be driving for the European junior arrows team next year..as he has recieved at least 4 or 5 offers from other F3000 teams..which one he will drive for is unknown but he is hotly tipped for a seat at super nova...and it is looking increasingly likely that he will be a test driver for benetton..this i think will be good for Mark...another year to try and win the F3000 title will do him good and getting f1 experience along the way will only help to improve his chances and make him ready for this final step into the top series.

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
Webber a big gamble??

He should have a chat with Kerry Packer. Just tell Kerry that this would be a big gamble. With John Howards support, he couldn't miss. He'd cop millions!!
