Why the yellow marking on the cars?
why do some cars have a little yellow paint/sticker/mark above their pit/rain/energy-harvesting lights ? anyone notice that?

Same reason they have different colour camera mountings on the top, to allow the cars of a same team to be distinguished by marshals/officials.
