FRC 2014 - WEC Round 3: Le Mans

Sweet! I thought I was doomed once the #8 crashed and the #73 ran into a problem, but they managed to stage comebacks! And I knew the Jota boys could pull it off.

Leading the FRC, never expected the day I'd see that

I picked #7 for pole but didn't get any points for qualifying. Perhaps there was a mistake or maybe I am overlooking something.

As it turns out, my score has a qualifying score error. I picked the #81 and #51 for poles, but missed the other two. So I should only have 6 points for qualifying. Are you sure you didn't accidentally put the #14 in pole?

Looks like I need to fix a few things - like the proper pole sitter in LMP1! Check back in a couple hours for updated results.

Alright, so after I fixed my error of putting the 14 as LMP1 polesitter, I have retabulated the scores and they are now listed below. Aysedasi is the sole round winner, so congrats again!

Great fun as always! I'm glad the standings don't update live like another site, otherwise it would have been a roller coaster ride the entire way thru!

joeb, I am not sure my score is correct. I keep coming up with 85. Can you double check for me?

I'm seeing that you got 3 points for picking the 51 for GTE pole, and in the race: 0 points for the 7 toyota, 0 points for the 26 G-Drive, 8 points for the 91 in GTE (for 6th place in GTE since I didn't include the Weathertech car as a Pro car), and 25 points for the 95 in GTEam. 3+8+25=36*2=72

Do the 7 Toyota and 26 G-Drive not get points because they retired? I thought it was based on final positions in class.

it is based on that for Tusc because everybody gets points there, but if you aren't classified at LeMans you don't score points. which is why Porsche lobbied so hard to get the 14 included.

Crikey! I could become the Sebastien Vettel of the Le Mans round of the prediction comp at this rate! On second thoughts, perhaps I'd better not enter next year.........

So lets try this again. Congrats to Beetle for being the real Le Mans round winner! Beetle used a strong qualifying (3 correct picks) and was the only one to pick the 35 car for a victory in P2. The corrected scores are below, and I double checked them this time, so if there are errors......I might need to find a new hobby!

For a moment it looked like Race Performance for the LMP2 win was a good pick. Untill they got penalties and issues.

So I got far more points from single point event than the double points one, lol. After my '12 FRC crown I've sucked at this

Btw joeb I think the seasonal results sheets would look better view wise if you only wrote like the first three letters of the race in question, instead of the whole one. Like in the case of USCC the titles would be: DAY, SEB, LGP, LAG, DET, WAT etc. Or just RD1, R2, RD3... Just cosmetic suggestion?

Only care about GT-PRO really....with the #51's and AF CORSES record of late at LeMans and in wins in titles the last 4 years....the #51 will be victorious..again...they are just too good, withstanding their performance at Spa...but were leading when the penalty was handed down...
