monza 98 - it rained all weekend, except when the tv cameras were on for qualifying and the race. the campsites were like the car parks in silverstone, and i suspect the car parks were very much similar. yet not a peep from the papers, and no complaints from the fia. september is a month of change in italy, like aril over here.
silverstone 2000 - rained most of the weekend, even during most practices. the car parks were yuk, and the fia/media/everyone ade such a fuss about it. what's the difference? did the fia put negative spin on the silverstone race, because they are unhappy with the whole event? |
