Driving a V8 Supercar. What to expect
Hey guys,
Some great news, I'll be doing the rest of the Khumo V8 Touring series. (older generation V8 Supercars) So in essence, what are they like to drive and what are some handy tips and tricks? |

Andy Robinson on TenTenths may be the one to ask as he campaigns one here in the UK. He recently ran at the Festival of Speed at Goodwood.

A few mates have tested them over the years and they mostly said the same thing. The power isn't that much and it comes in very progressively, so it's not hard to handle, but they agreed the substantial weight is noticeable and you can really feel it when tyring to change direction. Brakes are quite good, but not brilliant.
Mostly, they said you have to slow yourself down a little, if you're used to GT cars or V8 Sports Sedans, try not to rush the car too much. |
