I'm posting this but really I don't like it. It's a case of how to accidentally design the most unflowing design possible without it being a street circuit.

Right back into something much more flowing I hope.
I've only sized up 4 versions of this, the fifth of the large circuit but with the red section missing out the infield loop can easily be calculated. |

I'm liking this one so much that I'm posting what's been done so far, I'll probably spend more time on it tomorrow. As you can see the RallyX area changed shape as it was over 1KM too long

I like the little rally x circuit, especially the little details showing the connecting roads between the start/finish areas and the main paddock.

The airfield isn't real, I've created the whole thing based on a generic "A" style three runway airfield.
I really want to add more detail but don't have the time. , for example on the right is supposed to represent a railway line. RAF airfields in WW2 were named not after the nearest village, but the nearest Railway station. |

I'll post this one up to begin with, as usual work is gettin in the way of producing finished designs
The full and both lesser elements operate clockwise. There is a very short section of the circuit which is authorised to operate in both Directions. The original perimeter circuit is still visible wher the yellow stubs come off the circuit, the actual circuit was broken up to make access ways into the new infield sections that were built and thus gave the right hand circuit the unusual name. |

Working out the barrier layout for that tricky reversible section you mentioned could prove... tricky. Personally, for the National circuit, I would have used the standard racing surface and made a simple right turn onto the shortcut, as opposed to using the old perimeter circuit as part of the config.
I think the orange National Circuit would be quite interesting as a small standalone circuit! |
