Autosolo for newbies
I'm posting this here because there isn't an Autosolo forum, and I'm interested in organisation, not driving in one, so marshals and officers please!
My college class (BTEC Motorsport) is organising an Autosolo for our last term. Full permission and cooperation from the college, but we have to do it all ourselves. Class members have done Autosolo, but no one has organised one. We know about MSA licences, can quote the regulations nearly by heart, there is (also new!) a college motor club with MSA recognition, and we have made contacts for insurance, cones etc. The event will be closed, college students only. But what tips can anyone offer? Dos, don'ts, have you thought ofs? Thanks! John |

Risk Assesment, making sure you have Fire Extinguishers, Medical Cover, plans for 'worst case' scenario etc.

I'd recommend that you get in touch with an existing motoring club who has more experience of this sort of thing, and ask if they have any advice. Probably most of those people don't look at this forum too closely if at all, as most of us are mainly involved in circuit racing. I did a quick bit of googling, and found several clubs which appear to run autosolo, so there are probably plenty of people you could turn to.

You could get in touch with the local MSA / Go Motorsport Regional Development Officer who may be able to offer some guidance. https://www.msauk.org/Development/Go.../Go-Motorsport
