Following the growth of interest in electric karting, the World Motor Sport Council acknowledged the intention of the FIA Electric and New Energy Championships Commission to create an FIA eKarting Cup.


The FIA will launch a call for Expressions of Interest from potential Promoters, single chassis and single electric powertrain suppliers for a future eKarting championship.

I think it's a great idea. Just like the Formula E runs at street circuits to attract casual fans, I think that the FIA eKarting Cup should run at major football or basketball stadiums.

It's a pun or fun that, do you? eKarting also could be done at kartodromes, the powertrain of karts mustn't affect the lenght of kart tracks to race in there.

Of course. My point that racing in stadiums is a better strategy, as it would bring motorsports closer to people.

I mean, if someone doesn't go to a kartodrome for a fuel-run kart race, they won't go there either for an electric kart race.

They are not just looking for a supplier, they look for a partner.
