10 Tenths Motorsport Newsletter <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/> Special Issue - Monday 29th Febuary, 1999 (c) Copyright 1999 Craig Antill & 10 Tenths Motorsport. All rights reserved. No part of this newsletter may be reproduced without prior permission from 10 Tenths. ------------ Welcome all new subscribers! If this is your first issue, and you are not sure how you got on this list, there are only two ways. One is to submit a subscription request at the 10 Tenths Motorsport website at <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/>, the other is that someone submitted a link to the 10 Tenths Motorsport Links Directory at <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/links/> with your email address, and elected to receive site updates. Either way if after reading this issue, you wish to unsubscribe, follow the simple instructions at the bottom of this issue. You'll be unsubbed right away, which would be a shame, but that's life I guess. ------------ Prefer reading this in your Web browser? The HTML version of this issue can be found at <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/newsletter/> ------------ IN THIS ISSUE: Over the past weeks I have, as you may well know, been busy constructing the new 10 Tenths Motorsport F1 Guide. Along with many volunteers, I think we've put together one of the most informative guides to the sport available on the web. Many of you knew that we asked me to let you know when it was on-line and finished. Well, it is not quite finished - we're currently missing just a couple of driver profiles as well as several team profiles, however these will be finished and added shortly - but the guide is now on-line for you - just in time for the Australian GP! <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/f1/> I hope you will find it informative and fun, but here is a quick run down of the sections: * F1 News - Brought to you in association with MNI, the latest F1 news, results and reports are available from each and every page in the new F1 Guide. * F1 Helpfile - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/f1/Helpfile/> With kind help from Rich Reibel, 10 Tenths are pleased to be able to offer you the chance to download this superb piece of software. If you run Windows 3.11, 95, 98 or NT, it's a must! All the information you need - instantly accessable on your PC, without those expensive phone calls to your ISP! This info will be regularly updated after each GP. * Circuit Profiles - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/f1/Circuits/> Everything you'd ever need to know about the circuits which host the races - track maps, stats and details as well as a circuit description. * Event Profiles - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/f1/Events/> The story of the actual event itself - it's history, past winners, past venues, etc. * Driver Profiles - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/f1/Drivers/> My favourite section - the story of your favorite driver's career - from when they started racing upto the present day. Currently covers all the current drivers, plus several other notables such as Piquet, Mansell, Prost, Senna and Berger. We intend to expand this section over the course of the year to cover other stars of the past. * Team Profiles - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/f1/Teams/> This is a fascinating section too - the story of the teams which we'll be seeing on TV in Melbourne in a couple of days. Fascinating to see how things have developed over the past twenty years and how the current teams have learned to adapt. * F1 Cartoons - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/cartoons/> Carlos' brilliant series of F1 Cartoons are still available on our site. We have a large archive of previous 'toons which really should be seen. * Discussion Forums - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/forum/> After reading all that information, you'll probably feel the need to chat about it, and the 10 Tenths Discussion Forum is the place for this! The F1 forum is really popular and we have some great characters hanging out there. But it's not just limited to F1 - we also have forums covering everything from Speedway and Bike Racing, through Rallying, Touring Cars and Nascar to Short Circuit Racing. Check it out! * F1 Links - <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/links/Sport/Formula_1/> If you're still hungry for more info, we have that covered too - check out our F1 Links section! We are apparently have the second largest collection of F1 links on the web, and we aim to stay that way - we have no intention of listing EVERY site - just the ones worth visiting! Anyway, that should be enough to keep you occupied in the run up to the start of the new season this weekend. Let me know what you think of the new guide by visiting the feedback forum on the above mentioned Discussion Forums. If you'd like to find more information about the Aussie GP, take a look at <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/links/Sport/Formula_1/Events/ Australian_GP/> Many thanks to everyone who has helped in the preparation of this guide. They are listed below in no particular order of preference, and appologies if i've missed anyone! Steven Roy, Stephen Miller, Jae L Kane, Rebecca Appleton, Samantha Moakes, Cygnet F1, Ken Murray, Carlos, Rich Reibel, Andy Machin, Jez Spinks at McLaren International, Shell-Ferrari, Mike Barnes at Jordan GP, Wayne & Carol Duval, MNI, The Senna Files, Alex Savage, Grant Ritchie, Peter Ridley & Tom Keeble ------------ WE NEED YOUR HELP! I intend 10 Tenths Motorsport to become the ULTIMATE guide to British motorsport, but I can't do this alone - I need your help! Please email me <mailto:Craig.Antill@Ten-Tenths.com> if you feel you can offer any help at all. This help could take the form of anything from adding a few of your favourite links, through becoming a moderator of one of the discussion forums. I am currently looking for moderators for four of our forums - Short Circuit, Bike Racing, Rallying & Nascar. If you are at all interested, be sure to email me and let me know what qualities you feel you would bring to the job. We would also be happy to receive any motorsport related articles which you may wish to submit for consideration for possible publication either in our newsletter, or on our website. Please email these in ascii format to me at this address: <mailto:Craig.Antill@Ten-Tenths.com> Thanks!! Unfortunately we can't offer any money for your assistance, but we can offer gratitude - lots of it! And a whole lot of fellow motorsport fans from across the globe will be able to view your work! - you will be well credited, and if you have a website of your own, we will be delighted to link direct to it. ------------ Well, that's it folks - I hope you enjoyed this issue of the 10 Tenths Motorsport Newsletter. I thank all of you for signing up for the newsletter, and please do feel free to forward it to other people who you feel will be interested. ------------ Send suggestions and comments to <mailto:Craig.Antill@Ten-Tenths.com> To unsubscribe, point your browser to <http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/newsletter/> 10 Tenths Motorsport Newsletter is (c) Copyright 1999 Craig Antill & 10 Tenths Motorsport.
