I've never had the time or desire to sit through and work my way through iRacing...this is one of the better "pick up and play" games out there imo

This is my favourite racing game at the moment. Maybe it doesn't have all full simulation features like rFactor 2 or so, but it is just extremely fun and intuitive to drive and the online multiplayer allows for really close racing. And then the sounds

I race in Touring Pro Series (international community) and Virtual Racing (german community) in case someone is looking for a good place to race this game.

In my eyes the best sim there is at the moment. Cars feel great, online races are decent. Quite easy to join a public server and have a good clean race with good drivers.

No other game comes close in terms of sounds either.

It's a little funky right now, but I think the micro-transaction/premium DLC model is here to stay and will become the norm soon. What I suggest is to pick the few you cars and tracks you REALLY want and buy those only. Every other car still shows up in the AI. For myself, I don't need or want to drive every car or race every track, so it was a fairly cheap game for me.
