F1 in-season test, Silverstone, July 12-13

Hi folks,

I'm sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I did look but couldn't find anything.

Silverstone have announced (are announcing?) a 2-day test for the F1 guys the week after the GP (http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/si...n-july-667517/). Does anyone know what the deal with marshals will be for the test itself?

Last year was my first full season as a marshal, I did 12 events, including Britcar, as such I am well aware I don't qualify to volunteer for the GP, however I would definitely be game for the practice.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
JB

Someone may correct me on this, but, testing is not usually covered by volunteer marshals ... it'll be done by the circuit's usual track-day staff.

Traditionally, F1 testing (as with virtually every other test day) has been covered by circuit staff.

Just to confirm, testing will be marshalled by circuit staff as it is a testing day rather than racing.

You can of course purchase tickets at £10 (i think) to go any watch.

Or use your SMT pass if you have one.

Your SMT pass will allow you access as a spectator, but you will have to park your vehicle in the public area. You won't be able to take any guests in on the pass, they'll need to pay to get in.
