Bcarr6 Track Designs
Bentwaters is a largely unused former airbase in Suffolk. There is a business park on the edge but the runway and taxiways are pretty much unused.
If anyone saw the Lotus F1 truck jump over the f1 car video, that was filmed at Bentwaters! My design is for a high capacity circuit, GP style but due to its near 7 mile full length distance, its aimed at endurance sports car racing. Id say about 75% of the track layout is placed on existing tarmac, although you'd obviously want to resurface as the current tarmac is pretty bad. The highlight of the track is the 1 mile start finish straight, similar to Fuji, also the long 7-corner esses in the final third of the track. Direction is ANTI CLOCKWISE, and with the size of the paddock and track length, a mixed GT grid capacity for a 12-24 hour race could surely be around 100. Excuse the roughness, the layout and design are still works in progress... Last edited by ScotsBrutesFan; 26 Jul 2016 at 21:46. |
