I could make some offensive remarks about women .... but ... there is Claire Smith lurking about somewhere.

According to news this morn, a migrant was hit by a car last night while trying to board a truck. Won't be trying it again, unfortunately. Terrible incident for the car driver as well..... |

I feel very sorry for the car driver as it will be on his mind regardless of what happened, a friend of mine killed someone years ago when they ran in front of his car and there were plenty of witnesses to prove that he was an innocent party.
However it affected him for the rest of his live and he died a few years back at an early age. RIP Ron. |

A sad story but really what do these people expect to happen? No wonder the French want them to move through, unaccompanied "children" and all. They will clearly be a liability to wherever they end up. Can anyone tell me how unaccompanied children manage to make the journey at all? On the subject of journalism, I don't normally read the car reviews these days but I saw a picture of a typical SUV blob on one and decided to check how the headline (of some praise) held up. So in about 4 column inches one of the top of the article "cons" listed was uncomfortable seats but lower down a "reason to buy" was "comfortable". Presumably generated by a random article generator with a broken cross checking algorithm. Or maybe the journalists simply add these obvious conflicting opinions to see if anyone comments and because they are bored. Or is it just that it creates web site visits if anyone comments? |
