Racing Jaguar Mk 2 3.8
I see that there is a new series for classic Jaguars running in the UK, and I need to find out more about rules and regulations as well as parts suppliers for these cars. I am currently working on a Period G2 Alfa Romeo GTA1300 replica that should (cries of finally, finally!) hit the tracks in 2017, after which work will resume on my 3.8 Mk 2 project.
So far, the shell had been given new sills and all panel damage and rust has been welded, inluding reinforcements for roll cage fitting points. The underbody and underbonnet areas have been sprayed, and most of the mechanical bits have been acquired. But I am still looking for a suitable steering box and ditto transmission, and I would like to know what people running Mk 1s and Mk 2s are using, keeping in mind that my car will have to have the FIA HTP so will need to be period correct. Any suggestions? |

Simonj Drabble runs a MK 2 3.8 and posts on here. Come to think of it I haven't seen many posts from him recently.
Also Les Ely from Chelmsford runs a Mk 1 Jag. He has a bodyshop there. |
