Anyone attend the Williams 40th anniversary celebrations at Silverstone?

Any of the British F1 fans here attend? Care to share the experience? It was a free event to the public. I so wish I could have been there. Hope there's a DVD of the event coming soon.

It was a huge turnout (50,000?) for what was essentially some demo laps. It was good to see the old cars wheeled out again though wasn't it? Especially like the shots of the active suspension car limbering up in the garage

I'd have loved to have gone, but sadly didn't. It's also quite sad to think of Williams now as a second division team. I think they really need a major sponsor or something. They sort of remind me of Tyrell nowadays. I really hope they get back to winning.

Martini is a pretty major sponsor, likewise Rexona/Sure.

Martini's sponsorship for Williams is at a very "discounted" price. The Unilever (Rexona/Sure) sponsorship is apparently far greater in dollar value than the Martini sponsorship. Put it this way, for the $$ amount Martini pays Williams, they'd probably get a Martini logo on the rear wing end plate on the Ferrari or Mercedes, if they are lucky.

Back on topic, a video from Williams official YouTube channel.
