PitWalk Tickets
A question people.
The ACO sell very expensive pitwalk tickets $500+ for non-members. A old friend of mine is contemplating getting a couple of tickets for himself and another friend as 2018 will see his 50th anniversary at Le Mans (having first attended in 1968). He is hoping that this ticket will get him on the grid before the start of the race - along with all the 'pretty people'.... Does anyone know (for sure) what these seemingly gold-plated tickets actually allow you to do? Thanks. |

I asked my mate James as he's bought the pitwalk ticket before, and used one from a friend of his as well, and yes it does!!!! I'll copy paste his answer completely here:
"Hi vince, i can confirm that these do allow you onto the grid before the race. If you look on my facebook there is a picture of my mum on the grid before the race with the audi mechanics. My understanding is that these tickets allow you access to the paddock whenever you want apart from when the pit lane is live, so i think you have to be out at least half an hour before any racing sessions take place. Mike very kindly lent us his pass too so my mum and dad could go on the grid together as i couldn't afford 2 passes!" |

And yes he has a picture of his mum on the grid just before the start of the race (will not post it here).

I've also concidered these because it does allow you to go almost everywhere. I decided this year not to buy them, probably never, why...........?
They sell to many tickets, have you seen how busy it was on the grid just before start of the race. It looked twice as crowded as free pitwalk on friday. However these tickets allow you to go on pitwalk thursday, tempting........... |

Discount on one of these alone makes the ACO membership worth your while

Yeah, and I'd have to run back to my grandstand seat as well - and that would never do!
