Superswede: Ronnie Peterson Film

Has anyone managed to see the new Ronnie Petersen film? I'm quite a fan even though I was born 4yrs after his passing, I used to read lots of old race reports in Autosport and some of the descriptions of his car control used to make the hairs on the back of my head stand up! I would really love to see the film.

Me too - and this was an era when Woodcote GP was a proper corner!

During the 1978 season, when Peterson was paired with Andretti at Team Lotus, you just KNEW that Peterson was sooooo much quicker than Andretti. But not only was he a quick driver, Peterson was also a team player and knew that Andretti was in the team so that Chapman could sell his road-cars to the US.

I was driving north in a Ford Escort van on the M6 on the morning of 11 September 1978.......

Awfully sorry sir, won't happen again sir! I did spell it right in the thread subject though!

Some years ago, there used to be a museum in his hometown which was firmly on my bucket list but it seems it closed down quite a while ago. Such a shame. It was open when I was much younger and had no money, such is life. When you can afford to do something, the opportunity is either not there anymore or you're too bloody old to do it!

I guess nobody has seen the film yet. Oh well, I may have to take the risk and get a copy somehow.
