I find the idea very entertaining that a spoilt little boy in an F3 car is twice the driver that a NASCAR Cup Champion is. I rather imagine that in fact it is the other way around. |

If Jimmy Johnson wanted to race in F1 and a team wanted him I'm sure this would be easily resolved. Probably with some outrage on the internet, but I suspect it wouldn't be a problem.

I just came across this quite interesting article of whether a NASCAR driver could make it to F1, regarding the new license rules.
https://www.frontstretch.com/2017/09...-to-formula-1/ Basically, the same odds as coming across some unicorn droppings. |

I do wish JYS had signed up Jeff Gordon. It could have revolutionised F1 in the States.

What about the driver who scrimps and saves but is fast makes it to F2, gets a load of poles and leads half the races but has a car that breaks down a lot leaving him with poor results, and then the money runs out.

For good cases I'm for this being used as a guide. However this rules out those less worthy cases. Which is what people were whinging about. And why we now have this rule. People wanted a clear rule and that's what we got. |

I didn’t think it was much of a problem to begin with, so hopefully these rules won’t be too much of a problem
