Betting
Anyone know if it is possible to walk into a bookies and place a bet on a driver winning a F1 championship that isn't currently in F1? Most betting companies just offer odds on current drivers, but I would like to take a bigger punt on someone that isn't there yet, and get a better return. I'm sure people have placed bets on their son or daughter playing for England (football), so surely what I'm suggesting is possible?

I’m not an experienced wager-layer, but I think if you speak to them the average bookie will take a bet on most things.

I'm sure you can. Rory McIlroys dad had a bet on him from when he was a kid that he'd win the British open by age 25 (which he did).

I remember my brother wishing he’d bet on Lewis becoming an F1 champion before he was 25 or something, when Lewis was still racing in karts
