Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
There is a word Rosenqvist has signed with Ganassi for next year, it would be the brightest young gun ICS had as Rookie for some years.
Unf Hartley got snatched by STR, he'd be great addition... but, Veach, Kaiser, Wickens, Harvey.... and possibilty of Pietro Fittipaldi turning up somewhere, is not a bad line up for rookie of the year honours.

o- The full-time rookies are Robert Wickens, Zach Veach and Matheus Leist.
o- Carpenter will share his #20 car with rookie Jordan King.
o- The #19 Dale Coyne car will be shared by rookies Zachary Claman De Melo and Pietro Fittipaldi.
o- The #32 Juncos car will be shared by rookies Kyle Kaiser and Rene Binder, with 8 races announced so far.
o- The #60 Shank / Schmidt car has 6 races announced for rookie Jack Harvey.

Not as of yet, that's the bid restriction limiting Bump Day to a non-event. Neither Chevy or Honda want to lease an engine that won't race AND neither really wants to support more than 13 cars but the 33 number means someone has to. There have ALWAYS been third engine rumors floating around but nothing more than hey maybe they'd like a go at it. Part of the push for the common bodywork again was to not make a new engine manufacturer have to do an engine and bodykit deal. Sounds reasonable but I'm not sure how realistic a constraint that was to teams building an engine.

Rumors I've seen from Robin Miller, MP and others on Racer.com have included:

VW (Audi, Lambo, very occasionally Porsche but NO)
Cosworth (badged with a manufacturer)
Fiat (Alfa Romeo, Maserati but that's been a WHILE)
Toyota (think more hopeful Honda/Toyota battle)
Think a Chinese make or two have been bandied about but think that's wild speculation

Ford doesn't want to be in IndyCar.
The next project will be a DPI.
Would be nice if IndyCar would ran GT3 or DPI engines as that would solve the problem...

Rumors are Bill Ford hates Indy so everyone believes he wants nothing to do with Indycars. Think we have a better chance to see an F1 partnership than an Indy engine program. Which I think is funny cause he could easily use the EcoBoost branding on a V6 similar to the street car program. But I think there is something in the background making Indy a non-starter for them in reality. Course that doesn't stop the skunkworks team rumors from going up again and again so who knows.

MP, I think it was, hinted the same guys that built the tuned GT engine had worked on an Indy concept in the evening hours. No build, just a paper design I believe. There are a few groups within Ford, as with probably most major manufacturers, who create play toys in their free time. Supposedly the first draft of the current GT was an evening project before they presented a drawn concept to the bosses.
