If you don't like football ..

..and live Up North this weekend offers the perfect antidote to the sight of Gareth Southgate's huge teeth and the sound of blokes you've never heard of talking b****ks about 'the Massive Game ; it's just Immense ' etc

Saturday - Barbon. Not the country's best hill by a long way, but located in the most gorgeous setting . Hillclimb championship round 1 of the weekend. The only place to watch is by the top hairpin but it's worth the climb

Sunday- Harewood . The country's longest current hillclimb , and with unrivalled spectator viewing and a lovely site overlooking Wharfedale . Round 2

Beats sitting in front of a big telly .

I hear some big race is happening at Silverstone - catch up is your friend..
