Fuji Speedway/Super GT

Hi, could anyone with some experience in Japanese racing circuits help me a little bit?

I'm going to Fuji 500 mile race with my fiancée in August. The problem is the FSW website is primarily in Japanese so I can't find reliable information how to buy tickets in advance. Of course one option is to buy tickets at the gate.. but I'm not sure is there a limited amount of paddock passes going for sale etc.

And I've heard Japanese grocery stores have vending machines where one can buy tickets to concerts, sports events etc.. Is that correct and can I buy Super GT tickets from those?

Hi. According to FSW web site, they will sell tikets from June 14th.If you live in Japan, it is easy to get tikets in convenience stores.Furthermore, the padock pass(GT race round 2nd) is 17,000 yen(about 155 US$) for a person include entrance fee.And I've heard Japanese grocery stores have vending machines where one can buy tickets to concerts, sports events etc.. No, I don't live in Japan and I've never been there. Paddock pass sounds a bit pricey, though I'll be on vacation during that time anyway.

I'll tell you about Super GT Rd2 information for example.

It is similar to the Rd5 that you are planning to go there.
Rd2 is held in May 3rd and 4th.(They are Japanese national holidays.)
You can get the tickets(include padock-pass) until May 2nd in Japanese convenience stores (what you called grocery store).
Such as 7eleven, Lawson, Familymart you can buy them 24/7 until before the qualify day.
In other way, you can get these tickets and padock pass front of the FSW's gate on the race days.
But you have to pay additional fee in this case.
Here is the summury of the tickets.(Yen)
entrance fee6000
padock pass17000
padock pass + grid entrance before the race start.20100
padock lounge special room pass39000
platinum pair room pass59400
entrance fee (If you get the ticket front of the gate on the day.)Saturday 4000
entrance fee Sunday 7500 (If you get the ticket front of the gate on the day.)
padock pass12200(The front of the gate price)+entrance ticket price
pit walk pass Saturday2000
pit walk pass Sunday2500
If you have a padock pass or a special room pass, you can go into the pit walk event without pit-walk pass.

Thanks, I think we're going to make it with these instructions.
I'll try to remember to write a story here how it actually went, when the trip is over.

Our flight to Tokyo is on 30th of July so there's few days to get used to Japan's early August heat and humidity

Yup, time to update this topic. Bought tickets from Lawson and took bus from Gotemba to FSW. As a first time Japan-goer it was occasionally confusing but everything went just fine.
