Couple thoughts going on right now.
1. VIR entry list is posted on IMSA web site. No Risi Ferrari at VIR. This is very upsetting. In 2017 its when they came back from a sabbatical. We'll be lucky if they come back Petit Le Mans now. 2. Very rare I am interested in a full season points championship. But this year the prototype one is interesting. We should all be cheering for CORE to pull it off. 3. The last 5 all-GT races has had 1 or 0 full course yellows. And the ones that did have a yellow in it was either during the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes. Hope that streak extends to 6 with the VIR race. 4. Which Porsche team will show up this year at the VIR race. The one that dominated in 2015? Or gave the worst performance for the 911 RSR gave in 2017. 5. Too bad CORE did not show up as a guest in the GT3 Porsche for the all GT races. |

IMSA issues BOP change for LMP2s for Laguna Seca. Apparently the ACO does allow changes to be made if it applies to all LMP2 platforms.

No Petit page yet, and I'm not the one to create a thread without full and usual info, but a team update.
HART Acura has withdrawn from Petit due to budget situations. |

As we get closer to it the dynamics of the Encore race at Sebring looks interesting. I looked at the qualifying times in March. The GTD pole winner would have been 3rd on the LMP3 grid. Those two classes will be pretty close. I look forward to it. Hope we get a large GTD grid for that race especially. Wonder too if Mr. Blackmore will do a spotters guide for the Encore?

Hope this Encore race ends up alright. They were teasing 40 entrants, but it might in the 20's now. Most curious about the GTD entry. IMSA is making a mistake not allowing 2019 evos/models into the race. Porsche, Acura, and Audi all could have benefited from that. Land Audi is all I have heard will be there so far. It always a solid team though. Look for them to be a contender for overall victory. LMP3's are not that much quicker over a single lap. Depending on drivers and the course of a 4 hour race. I think a GTD could win overall. But that is all speculation, who knows who will turn up ultimately. Still hope we get proper coverage on IMSA TV/Youtbue and maybe even a spotters guide from Andy B.
