Reading Tyre Wear

Hi all

When I was messing with track bikes people regularly said you could read the tyres on the leading and trailing edge of the tread mainly to tell if your rebound was too fast or slow.

Is this also applicable to cars using treaded race tyres? My RGB S1000 Spire runs A048s - I've noticed a quite pronounced leading edge to the tyre tread on the front and it would be most useful if someone could maybe give me an idea how to use that information? Obviously feel is more important but it seems this could be useful.

A quick google yields nothing on the subject for cars but lots relating to bikes.

Cheers

Did you ever get anywhere with this? Sounds interesting. We've just switched to this tyre so keen to learn more about it if you can share.
