Cinghio44 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Good intense race. It seems that Audi will snatch the manufacturer title while for the drivers it's a question between Vautier and Marciello

Smart strategy by the Land 29# gave them the victory. Great calls by Peter Baron!

Very interesting race as I said before. Marciello was over aggressive and a bit unlucky but surely he has learned a lot. The new Bentley was also competitive before the contact with the GT4 car.

I’ve not watched the full race yet, but what strikes me is the headline win for Audi, when the Mercedes just seemed to be the stronger car. That seems to be how Audi win races a lot.

Historycally I always remeber the Audi's teams stronger in both strategy and pit services. This was a perfectly gambled win i would say

Curious -- what made you think the Mercedes was the stronger car? (I'm not arguing one way or another, just curious)

I really like this car! And obviously it's a tribute to my Region and the city of Avezzano. What a great man Don Panoz was. I would like to see this car have success

And we have a post-race disqualification. Per S365:

Quote:
Nick Leventis has received a four-year ban from motorsports after testing positive for two illegal drugs following last year’s California 8 Hours Intercontinental GT Challenge round.
And:

Quote:
Leventis and his No. 42 Strakka Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 has been disqualified from the 2018 California 8 Hours, where his specimen was taken.
It has given the GT3 Pro-Am class win to the No. 2 DXDT Racing Mercedes of David Askew, Ryan Dalziel and Mike Hedlund, nearly eight months after the conclusion of the event.
More here.
