It's official, Jenson Button won't be racing at Super GT next year.
Just expect some reshuffle on Honda's lineup for 2020 season. |

As a result of the merger, KEIHIN will become Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd.
It is unclear whether the KEIHIN brand will survive. https://www.keihin-corp.co.jp/wp/wp-...20191030-2.pdf https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Aut...d-parts-makers Last edited by Japanese Samurai; 30 Oct 2019 at 06:58. |

Hmm, did JAF scrapped the Mother Chassis class? Let's hope that they won't abandon it in next year's season.

Team Le Mans win the title! Nice and the first time in 17 years. What a way to send off the Lexus LC500 too. Such a dominant car.

Congrats to them, but I'm worried that JAF might penalize Team LeMans for that contact with one of the TOM's car.

Ouch. Running a damaged chassis most of the season without a spare. That's not going to go over well.

Autosport web is reporting that Bandoh revealed in the Motegi round press conference that a certain Japanese manufacturer wanted to test Hankook tires on 7-post shaker rig. This is evidence that Japanese manufacturers feel a sense of danger in racing results of dream race although this is an exhibition race. |

This tweet says that Hankook accepted an analysis of 7 post shaker rig, but GTA didn't allow it.

Conspiracy mind on for a second... GTA want DTM teams to do better and have a better chance of winning to appeal to a DTM manufacturer to race in Super GT

Car Watch reports Dieter Gass (AUDI) interview.
https://car.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1220423.html About next step *The next step for me is to send each series car to each other championship. (SGT cars to DTM series, DTM cars to SGT series) *The World Cup concept is costly due to logistics issues, and it would be difficult to have 22 vehicles as in this race. You have to figure out if it's special and exciting. To get big achievements with a small investment, you should exchange vehicles in each other's series. About DTM *Audi can sell its engine to R-motorsport. The only requirement is a different engine brand badge. About spec engine *In order to reduce costs, it is inevitable to share the engine (spec engine). However, I can understand the thought that engine is the DNA of each manufacturer. Therefore, I do not think that this problem can be solved immediately. |

Autosport web reports impression on dream race by BMW and AUDI.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/546629?all Jens Marquardt says that this time dream race was successful event. Dieter Gass is also pleased with the success of the event but says it was too costly for an one-time event. He says that we need to find a realistic and affordable amount for the budget at least. |
