So who do we reckon is going to lift the Empty Cup?
My gut says Joey Logano. I'd like Chase to have it, but think Logano will run better at Phoenix. |

I also just learned that it'll be the last race in broadcast studio for Krista Voda. Can't say I'll miss her, but it'll be kinda weird not seeing her around given how many years she's been part of the coverage. Apparently she's putting her future in the hands of god so, uhh, good luck with that I guess |

Yeah. Happy! Missed him take the checker as I lost count of laps whilst watching Jimmie's onboard!
Good to see JJ finish out on a high. He looked delighted for Chase. |

Chase driving the #9 thru Dawsonville. Looks like pretty much everyone was out to cheer him. |

Although NASCAR has let itself down with it's constant rule changes, I thought this season it did well to get through everything and we've ended up with a deserving champion in Chase Elliot

Bit surprised to be honest that John Hunter Nemechek has signed for a full time truck ride next year - yes it's KBM, and yes it will be a ride that could win the title but seems a bit of a step backwards?
Other part of my brain says could this be a stepping stone to a Toyota Cup ride in 2022 in an expanding 23XI operation? Guess we'll see... |

There just aren't many paid driver spots open for him to move up. The franchise deal is going to kill the sport of they don't sort out guys buying up multiples with no plans to run a full season driver. Think there are at least 5 ride selling teams out there guaranteed to get in every race. The charter is just worth too much to some teams to not sell it high and hope they'll get another bite later. Or sell and then lease it back as a couple have done.
