To clear up the red flag debate: if there's any doubt as to the condition of a driver and a medical unit has to attend, then a session will be stopped. If there's barrier damage, a session will be stopped. If there's considerable debris/oil/fluid down, a session will be stopped.
Oulton was pretty much a perfect storm in that respect. |

Was given a 5s penalty for being out of position on the grid, and so moved back to 18th for the restart. Climbed to 15th - was then running in 14th for a few laps, before Sutton got ahead, so he finished in 15th. |

Yes but there were six red flags on Sunday including the support races.

It depends how damaged the barriers were in that Ginetta race. It looked like it could be cleared under a SC, but we’ll never know
Championship is getting closer. Rowbo has done a brilliant job with that car. We’ll see what more Butcher can do in a car he has at times struggled to get to grips. Shedden has been a bit unlucky, but really good work by Morgan, he’s really keeping a good score. And yes Hill floated under the radar a bit, but at least he got three decent results, his best since Thruxton |

Just read the Autosport report from Oulton Shedden quote about following his team mate in race one says it all about the current anarchy in BTCC " Had it been a driver from another team , who knows what would have happened" . We can only guess....TOCA needs to get a grip - and not just of BTCC

What else is there for TOCA to get a grip of?

Watching the highlights on ITV4 right now. Weird how it all turned out
Pre race: everyone saying it’s between Sutton and Tingram for the title Qualifying: suddenly the advantage is with Sutton R1: Sutton falls back after first lap incident R2: both make a great recovery Reverse grid draw: people saying ‘this is a guaranteed win for Sutton’ R3: Sutton goes out on lap 1 of the restart, now people are looking to Tingram. Tingram then goes into the pits, suddenly the championship is a lot more wide open |

You mean a driver in a team publicly admitted that they may have made more effort to overtake another car if it wasn't from the same team? Shocking!

Must admit though that Turkingon has has to work a lot harder to get past his team mates, and in the case of Sutton it’s like the parting of the Red Sea when he’s coming through.

I thought Jelley did quite well against him in R2, certainly they had a good battle there
