Has anybody requested a refund from Goodwood?

I'm happy to let it ride until next year, it's hardly worth the hassle of requesting a refund to me.

I just got a begging email from Goodwood requesting donations to save their future events. With all the great efforts being made to get racing going at other circuits this comes as a real surprise. I would have thought Goodwood with all their assets and fancy sponsors would not need to solicit cash donations for income. Surely they could run an event based on entry fees and attract a lot of interest.

I wasn't invited to race this year but I did buy full Monty tickets for the weekend which I still have now rolled over to next year. So theyve got my money already.

Snap - and I have a sneaking feeling it may be the first race meeting I get to since CSCC Donington in October 2019.

I hope I am wrong about that prediction , but the meetings that are going on in 2020 are not admitting spectators , it seems . Ironic , really, as at the sort of events I enjoy , we civilians are far outnumbered by drivers and team members .

Mmm but that's in normal times. Given the queues at shops, number of people at beauty spots I reckon there would be a massive crowd. Quite good really!

I've signed up for the Paddock Club and rolled over my MM and Revival tickets to next year. In truth, with two members of my family in "at risk" groups...one of them shielded GW have made what would have been a difficult decision for us.

GW have provided me with a huge amount of enjoyment ever since the early Festivals of Speed, I've made friends and been able to see and be close to some wonderful machinery so I don't want to risk losing the opportunity to do the same next year.

More than a year later, 78MM is coming up and Goodwood have published the entry list. Some really interesting grids, it'll be cool to see how the Chevrons fare against the GT40s and McLarens, and the new format Gerry Marshall Trophy should be good fun.

Almost a year later and Goodwood's 78MM is going ahead.

The entry list and demonstration line-up have already been released. It seems a good entry with some variety in the races. I'm looking forward to the new-format Gerry Marshall Trophy and Gurney Cup in particular.
