You weren't pointing anywhere even near straight at any time between Fordwater and well beyond the exit of St Mary's - take it from me . I doff my cap to you - it was a hoot to watch ,and everyone's eyes were on the Bs after we'd sighed at the more ..umm .. exotic machinery in front. If not as far in front of you as we expected !

What soured the coverage for me a little was seeing the #37 car in the Brooklands Trophy ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so6F...dRoad%26Racing ) pitting without observing the minimum time rule (which is put there to stop cars screaming in and tearing one driver out and jamming the next one in and them forgetting to attach harnesses or hitting cars coming into the pits in their rush to get back out there with diverted attention) All the other cars observed the rule with stopwatch timed pitstops.
But these guys just tore in and the car was still in motion as old driver allighted and new driver entered. The commentator seemed to stop himself as he noticed the violation. Is the owner of this car too big to fail so to speak?? I know the GM of one of the big auction houses is good friends with Lord Marsh. Maybe thats not a feather he wants to ruffle , as it might preclude his ability to get first dibs on some lucrative vintage iron before it goes over the gavel?? Who know, but what point is it having rules, if the rules are able to be broken by the select few?? P.S. I know of a race series elsewhere which did a neat thing, it had a charity theme, and instead of just the penalty - they offered you a choice of either the penalty or say a $2000 donation to the Childrens Leukemia Foundation (just giving an example) instead |

Thanks for those
Michael went very well in Talbot only beaten by actual GP cars. Chris Lunn’s Talbot is purely road spec and he was with 4.5 Litre blow Bentley’s They both enjoy racing Leaf exceeded expectations! |
