I did want to post the results of the David Hassall stuff that I mentioned in post #1 to complete the circle, but unfortunately I can't find them.

I think maybe they are just a bit behind with the results..... all previous auctions up to end August are online, so I guess September results will be online early October. Just a thought....

I see the results of the recent auction of David Hassall stuff have finally been posted:

https://online.doningtonauctions.com...g/id/70?page=1

From a quick look through it seems the results were fair and reasonable.

Being an Australian auction, anything with Brock's name seemed to bring big dollars. The top price appeared ton be $1,455 for lot #289 a model of Brock's Torana A9X.

I think a lot of the UK and US stuff would have done much better at a UK auction.

I personally liked lot 146 a model of the Penske Porsche 9147/30 for $995.

Some good value I consider was lot 71 a very good model of Jane's Jaguar
Mk2 for $275, and lot 67 a Dick Johnson Sierra for $245.

The results did hearten me greatly for books, models and programmes that I have kept. Pays to hang on despite the wife's wishes. For example lot 462 a poster of Jane's Jaguar that I picked up as a give away at an Eastern Creek meeting, I had Jane sign. It went for $145.

Yes I liked the look of that too, especially when it was bidding at about $300 with a few hours to go!

Off topic sorry but perhaps relevant- opinions on what a complete collection of Great Race books with outer covers in mint condition might fetch? Some signed by the winners.
