Thats why Supercars have limited name drivers running in other categories.

'The names' are a big part of the IP, more so than 888 etc ...

Plenty of names in the 6 & 12hr, and maybe more now they are somewhat under the same "roof"

I remember back when people were complaining about the L34 & A9X Torana's being nothing more then sport sedans, they also complain about a car manufacture having the audacity to put bolt on flairs on one of their cars

what else are we going to do on non race days, than argue over the cars, drivers rules homologation etc
the races only last a few hours we have weeks to fill between them!

i had a read up on whats been released on gen3 so far, and it actually addresses some of my misgivings, so i guess at least some of my "whines and complaints" must be valid

The series owners (and a few members on here) expect you to spend the time between events waxing lyrical about how great the current product is and how it has never been better, and actively talk down anyone who dare say there might be room for improvement.

Sadly most of the local specialist media follow that line of thinking too

I don't think the series is that bad, although it does need improvement. It needs careful managing and also listen to constructive criticism. The product on track is still great though, so just need the series sustainable for the teams

Bathurst77 is a prime example of a humble motor racing fan whose consideration get lost in the nonsense of supercars since Cochrane arrived.

This is a guy who's grown up with ford/holden 5 litre touring cars, but it's not the be all, end all for him.

This country's lost the plot over some outdated motor racing ideologue. Hanging onto with grim death over a concept that was outdated a few years after it started.

Something I could never quite understand when supercars fans justify supercar due to some supposed commercial success.

How is it that C7 buried their highlights package, not even showing it during the event on tier affiliate channels, but did broadcast live the WBBL of all things?

What's the deal there?

Because there's more demand for WBBL live coverage?

Wouldn't mind betting this was included in the rights negotiations. They like to use the WBBL as a, family friendly lead in to the BBL.

my issue is 7s app and ads has driven me to Kayo. As much as I hate it, at least 4 race weekends for $25 I, can't complain now

If there is more of a demand for WBBL, supercars is cooked no matter how it's talked up. It's a failure of 10-15 years of an actual lack of commercial success

Second week in a row C7 are burying extended highlights in the middle of the night. Can you imagine how dismissive tv stations would be if Bathurst wasn't part of the series?

The higher ranked series in Australia are better off on speedweek.

Likewise, thought they would show at least the Sunday racing live from SMP.

Bit like going back to 90’s, get the VHS recorder warmed up to record the midnight one hour highlights reel!

No matter how much they would like to the contract limits the number of fta rounds.Next weekend which is a much more interesting Supercars format as well as having much better support classes is on 7.
They could only ever show 2 of the 4 Creek rounds.

I thought this weeks support card Improved Proddy was excellent
Wide range of cars close racing, Sadly a very nasty race 2 crash, really felt that thru the TV, as as per usual young Jordan Cox was spectacular and fast.
He is a future star. Worth checking the youtube clips of him on mt pan

Im looking forward to next weekend, TCR MCM, s5000

Have a look at Kayo. Freebies often.
I understand most users arent watching on their phone, 70% on other devices, aka TV.
