Reido Rules should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Edenbridge to stay put

Edenbridge motorsport will run two BMW 320i's in next years production category, destroying any hopes of a step up, which was planned to be with 2 Honda Civic Type-R's.

Hope Arena continue then or someone else takes the Civic's on. They are a real threat to Vauxhall, especially with priaulx. Seems stupid to have just a 1 year project, spending all that money on development and not get a chance to see the results.

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Honda will be back for 2003 i am sure. The end of 2002 really helped the team prove to Honda they were doing the business and Honda will be back for more next season, possibly the championship b the performance of the cars at the tail of this season.

This has to make them the favourites for BTC-P next year, especially if Simon stays on

Was't Honda supposed to switch to the new Accord ASAP, at least in the ETCC? Or perhaps they will have an Accord team in the ETCC and continue with the Civic in the BTCC? Has the new Accord been released yet in Europe? It's been argued to death, but wouldn't it make more sense to have one general racecar platform and the adapt it to the different series?

Just to clear it up, Edenbridge were aledgedly planning to buy the 2002 Honda's, and Honad would award any works contract to arena.

I think in the ETCC this year Honda were given a one year waiver the race a car that didn't comply with the minimum length rule (4.2m), meaning they could run a Civic in 2002, but from 2003 had to race a bigger car. As far as i know the minimum length for a BTC Tourer is 4.1m, allowing the likes of the Civic, Alfa 147, Vauxhall Astra and so on.
