2002 World Super Sport Round - Phillip Island

Hi All,

I attended the 2002 World Super Bike round at Phillip Island (the year after the great flood at the track) as a last minute corner marshal. Obviously being a marshal we had access to the Paddock, and for someone like me who had watched the WSBK races on TV, it was awesome at the time.

I was lucky enough to be visiting the back of the pits and observing one of the Super Sport teams at the end of the weekend. I can't for the life of me remember the riders name, nor the teams at the time, but one of the staff members kindly gave me a damaging front faring/guard, and then proceeded to call the rider over to sign.

So hence this thread to help request help to find any results from the weekend to work out the who the rider was at the time. All I have currently is the bike number which was 22.

If there's anyone that could help, that would be awesome!!

Thank you!!

Big thanks pimmy!! I've been researching for some years now trying to work out who it was, and then overnight (with some help) my question has been answered!!

I'll try and make contact with Damien and get a confirmation.

When I look at the signature now, I can see the D and C in the name...
