A good race but not a great race. The weather certainly played its part, which added some intrigue regarding tyres. Maybe 7 or 8 but I think 8, as I've always liked the track and it's great it's back on the calendar until 2025, when hopefully the contract will be renewed.

The first few laps where interesting. Then I felt it has stabilized and nothing much happened any more. I looked. Ten laps had passed...
then nothing happened, and then even more nothing happened. This was a snoozer, and if it weren't for my team taking third I would have disliked it even more. A 5. Look. Everyone was wondering why there was no DRS. Then they enabled it, and the train of cars that could not overtake became a DRS train instead! I am really not looking forward to going back here next year again. Zzzzzzz. |

6 from me - some good moments between Q, sprint and the GP itself but ultimately, the race didn't electrify.

7. Quite enjoyed the highlights. Enjoyed the overtaking before the unnecessary DRS was enabled.

I like the track, and the weather should have helped create an exciting race. Unfortunately despite that this one was fairly dull. 5

I was happy when they dropped this track in 2007 and will be happy when they bin it again.
The weather brought some relief but the track is not fit for purpose. IMHO. |

It had some very good moments but also some pretty soporific ones. Concentrating on the good, I gave it a 7.

Funny.
We want passing so we have contrived passing and then unless you have a huge straight no one can pass.... I gave it an 8 but would concede that is too generous. It a car problem. Really. It always goes back to the cars and there are some fundamental things they always get wrong because of the sacred cows. Until they deal with those we will never get back to regular racing. |

Although 1st was decided at the start fairly interesting behind that.Great effort by Russell again.Shocking luck for Sainz again. Those big points leads can disappear quickly with this scoring system! |

6. The rain spiced it up a bit, but it got processional once it dried out, until Leclerc's spin near the end

6.5 is probably the more accurate vote. decent battles within the race overall decent, the race overall was meh. I would give it a higher score to those who want the individual battles and watching them feel it out, lower number to those who want a bit more Indy style racing.
I do think the event should add some to the use of a push-to-pass system over set DRS. With some cars DRS became a massive slingshot and right past the cars like the leader was bolted down, others not so much. May have been due to tuning and aero loading. But I do think a driver activated system with a limited use would be better, allow them to use where ever and when ever they see fit BUT you only get X and can defend. |

If it should be anything at all like this, this is the kind of implementation I could get behind. |

I've been debating this with some of my F1 friends for years and I agree with you. I don't like DRS and don't really care for PTP either but I'd take PTP over DRS if it has to be one or the other. Give them x number of seconds per race to use as they see fit. No limitations on when, where, or for how long. Want to use it all at the start to try and build a gap? Cool, go for it. Want to use it to defend? Again, cool. Need to use it to build a gap to be able to pit? Awesome, go for it. Let it be a tool for race strategy however the teams see fit. |
