RaceFanStan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Martinsville Awards

This may start some controversy.
Everyone has an opinion, let's talk about it.

I am curious as to know how Hideo managed to make the field on a provisional. I thought the team had used its last at Dover and if all teams have used up their provisionals, the remaining field then is comprised of the fastest qualifiers. Hideo only qualified faster than two drivers and would not have made it if his team ran out of provisionals.

Great Race

The best Martinsville has been in a long time !!!
Grinding the track made the 2nd groove "work" !!!

Good point Joe Fan,
It appears that NASCAR will bend their rules to suit their own desires !!!

Dumb Butt award. Shouldn't that go to NASCAR for letting him in? Nothing to do with Nationalities or race. Pure lack of experience. If NASCAR want to open their racing series up to different countries-FINE. But shouldn't they make them start in the lower series?????

Big Loser Award. Jeffie Whined about the track the loudest. I guess he felt he had to PROVE that it was bad by causing 2 wrecks. I giggled when he got put into the wall.

Thumbs up. Jr was rocking. Daddy would have been proud.

Biggest Surprise. It was a good race. More stories than just the red hot breaks. I enjoyed it completely.

I didn't see anything funny about that reckless move by Jeff Burton doing a slide job & not leaving enough room to clear the #24!Jeff Gordon was fairly strong early on & with some right adjustments along the way, that might very well have been a great race, but alas it was not meant to be!Then I thought well maybe Johnny Benson would maybe get His 1st WC win in like(not sure)265 starts, but no Kurt had to win His 2nd race of the season instead!
I guess no1 noticed the close up shots of those grooves in the lower lane?It didn't look like a great racing surface to Me,JMO!

I think that Jeffie put himself out of contention when he rammed two other drivers. BEFORE he got shot into the wall.

Payback is a ....... well you know.

Well- I personally thought that the new surface made for a good race. 2 grooves all the way around- I thought it was an improvement.

Apparently Jeff Burton really had some kind of problem, he was wrecking people on Saturday in Happy Hour. At least when JG got into someone he backed off and let them recover, so you know, no harm no foul * G *.

I thought that Benson was going to catch (overtake) KB. It sure would have been nice to see Johnny win one.

..... but I will .....
Sterling Marlin was injured when he hit the wall head-on at Kansas,
thanks to contact from ..... Jeff Burton !!!
I think that Jeff Burton is trying too hard,
I know that he is frustrated but gee whiz !!!
Jeff Burton needs to think about his fellow drivers and their welfare and look more closely at his driving style, he is beginning to remind me of the reckless Jimmy Spencer of old !!!
We have lost too many drivers and have had enough of them injured, Jeff Burton used to be a "good guy" but now .....

I think you guys might be blaming the wrong Burton brother. After watching re-plays, the view from the front of the cars looked like Ward got into the back of Jeff Burton & JB had all he could do to keep it under control. JMO & Jeff G. happened to be in the wrong place...not that I mind...hehehe. Jeff G. was the only one whining about the track & was obviously PO'd about it. He was running rough shot over everybody that was in his way & he wasn't backing off, the proof being he spun out the #18 & #97. Dale Jr. was running rough shot too, but the big difference being that he never spun anyone out.

I wanted Johnny to get his first win also. But he doesn't have the-----to do what it would take to get the leader. He's too much of a nice guy.

& Dick- Jeffie backed off just enough not to get involved in his own messmaking. It just kept HIM from wrecking. But then he got it later....didn't he.

Don't worry about M69...he's just a chump. He can come in here and blast any driver he sees fit, but gets all pi$$y if you say one negative thing about Jeffie. Boohoo, not everybody thinks Gordon is the best ever to strap on the helment.
