Believe it or not, I enjoyed the race.

The track is not trickier than Long Beach or Detroit.

Instead, drivers were too aggressive, not just trying to overtake, but driving too close to the car in front. If they gave each other a bit more room, they would have crashed much less.

But they didn't, because they want to race, and I enjoyed that.

Big winner of the weekend is this guy, drive straight home after the race and have THE Indy fan garage.

Picture from MP's post race rant session, he's not a fan and skipped the event again I believe.

I imagine a lot of the carnage was because none of them had raced here more than once before, and a lot of them not at all. IMHO this circuit is terrible and needs major revisions, but perhaps you're right and more experience and driving style adjustments will help. I suspect it's here to stay, given the Big Machine money behind it.

Well that could have been better for Indy, reported 121k for Nashville TV cause they bounced to CNBC then NBC and back again.

IMSA managed to find 266k on USA for Sunday breakfast

That's the CNBC viewers, not the NBC viewers.

It's the number as reported by NBC for viewers of the event. No network was actually stated and assumed to be intro numbers but no correction was made for alternate. No sponsor is going to say "oh, that's not what you were aiming for, oh well we should consider that"
